Half-Asleep Ventures

Just so y'all who are reading this know, I'll be posting rather regularly.
Like now.
So, anyway, I spent Wednesday sleeping for half the day, which was nice.  Ah, the convenience of having a class at 4:30pm!  Anyway, it was a class concerning the history of World War Two, taught by a rather tongue-in-cheek professor with a grand sense of self-deprecating humour.  And that, friends, is thoroughly enjoyable to me.
After ending class rather early, I went to the British Museum... and promptly left about fifteen minutes later, as it closes at 6:00.  I was somewhat disappointed that I couldn't get nice pictures of Vespasian, Augustus, and other busts they've got in there.  I got some pretty trippy pictures, though, so I might just have to share them - maybe here, as well.  I wouldn't mind - but first, I need a few more pictures.
Really, I went to the Museum to kill time before going out to the pub - so, having been booted out, I wandered back to my flat, set up Skype so I could call people, and went about my business at the pub.  And, really, the pub was great.  I went drinking with J.W. at the Fitzroy Tavern - which has been around long enough to have the neighborhood named after it: Fitzrovia.  We had a couple of really good drinks, had an awfully long (and great) conversation - which continued after we left the pub and went to J.W.'s flat.
I think the only issue of the night was the fact that three pints (all draught beer, might I add) brought me to the point where I was tipsy, which made me a tad annoyed.  The anti-depressants have a way of intensifying anything else I put in my body - which is amusing for everyone else but me, as I tend to get miserable with the shakes (complimentary of caffeine in doses that used to just get me slightly buzzed) and the inability to really stand, but strangely enough walk in a straight line.  I'm sure that sounds rather oxymoronic, but it's the case - and I wouldn't lie about it.  I get rather giddy, and I'm forced to continuously move until I get a bit sick - so tilting from side to side a bit is the natural consequence of trying to stand still.
I also got tipsy enough to bust out what I like to call my "drunk" accent - it's rather hilarious, I think, as it's mildly British.  I'm pleased with this party trick.
Anyway, J.W. and I shared some tea and various ideas (including a reassuring thought that I can make tea safely in the electric kettle!  Hooray!) - and I got back after midnight.  I made a couple of calls, and then just decided it would be a good time to sleep.

Thursday's (that would be today) not that bad of a day, but I've got a bit of a headache.  There's a British Cinema class that I just got out of - that I think I'm going to enjoy.  I'll enjoy it a bit more when I'm a bit more awake.
I think I'm going to spend a lot of time here half-awake.
But that would suck. :)
